Our annual Franklin Garden Walk was held this past Wednesday, June 17, 2026, and was another big success. We had five gardens on the tour from Bloomfield Hills to Beverly Hills to Royal Oak, and they were all beautiful, interesting, and creative. It’s always so much fun to see how gardeners interpret their gardens in their own individual style and with their own personalities.

We enjoyed a beautiful morning and afternoon with rain not coming until evening when many intrepid walkers still showed up with umbrellas and raincoats! Gardeners are a hardy bunch!

Our garden walk has raised over $37,000 over the last five years, and every penny goes to a combination of scholarships to University of Michigan and Michigan State students and many local non-profits with horticulture initiatives. We are proud to help these worthy students and causes.

We appreciate our wonderful homeowners so much. Thank you for opening your beautiful gardens to our walkers. And thank you to all of our members who volunteered to plan, publicize, set up, and docent. The walk would not happen without you!

We love sharing our garden walk with the community. It’s a labor of love for us.

Hope you’ll join us next year!!
